Don't need to list 5. One stands alone far and away anything else that has been done which is known to mankind. Nothing can touch this because it's simply not in the same galaxy.

Hendrix/Machine Gun (live)

Well there is one that at least runs a close second...

...The Star Spangled Banner

That's not my favorite musically, but it's the only guitar solo I can think of that actually made a relevant political statement. eek

1. Prince - "Just My Imagination" from Small Club (the only one that ever made me cry)
2-5 ... well, it hardly matters after that.

First of all, there is no guitar solo better than Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child(Slight Return). Let's make that straight. Now for my entire list.
1. Jimi Hendrix-Voodoo Child
2. Eric Clapton(Cream)-Crossroads
3. Ernie Isley(Isley Bros.)-Hope You Feel Better Love
4. Jimi Hendrix-Are You Experienced?. The backwards guitar sound is so cool.
5. (Tie)Prince-I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man(Live) and Jimmy Page(Led Zeppelin)-Ten Years Gone
Peace and be wild!
