Story about R Kelly's Trial (Shocking Revelation Included)

http://www.cnn.com/2007/L...index.html

Since being charged with child pornography five years ago for allegedly videotaping sex acts with a young teenager, R. Kelly has had six best-selling albums, three nationwide tours, a multitude of hits and awards -- but no trial.

[Blah, blah, blah] . . .

As he awaits trial, he has kept working.

Since being charged, Kelly has released six albums -- most of them million-sellers. His current single, "I'm a Flirt," is in the top 20, and he's finishing 10 more chapters of his running R&B operetta, "Trapped in the Closet." eek

[Blah blah blah] . . .

Jason you're a bad influence. What kind of friend are you?? lol lol j/k

I'll say what I said on another board:
Fact of the matter is:
They have the marriage license to Aaliyah
The abortion papers with his signature
The 2 videos(that's right, 2 different scenes, 2 different girls)
The photos that they found at his home
And the fact that his music is horrible(that's reason ENUFF)

Put his greasy ass in jail

Whose abortion? Aaliyah's or some little girl's? eek

Hopefully the closet sequel will be so horrific he’ll be charged and jailed for that instead.

i always think these kind of things -just like with mj- seem so unfair.

prince writes slave on his face and everyone turns their back cutting
him adrift for the best part of a decade.

yet with (alleged) child molestors like MJ and R Kelly, media still do
reports on their every move. record labels promote all their stuff and
the public just eats it all up.

i guess i'll never understand that. prince made good tunes and lived to
release his music 1st and 4most.

seems that all you really need is mediocre songs and bad publicity confused

lol lol lol he's so rediculous it's laughable. He's pulling a "P.Diddy" move and wants everyone to no longer call him 50 Cent, but by his birth name "Curtis Jackson". I wonder if the music will get even worse than it is now.

Well, with MJ, promotion was DEAD. In 1993, they stopped promotion for Dangerous and the Gone Too Soon, cancelled the last single and video, and the US leg of the tour was cancelled.
This time around, they stopped promotion with the Greatest Hits promotion and proposed tour, pulled the TV special, and many radio stations wouldn't play his songs.....all for hearsay

R.Kelly got VIDEOS and PICTURES that have been out there for YEARS! Put that weak music makin bitch in the slammer so we won't have to hear "I Believe I can fly" EVER AGAIN

R.Kelly is getting MORE support than Michael's ass could hope for lol

Gone Too Soon wasn't cancelled. There was a single and a video. Unless you're talking about one that was planned after that. If so, what song?

The reason for the difference is simple. R.Kelly was with an underage girl. MJ was with an underage boy.

I didn't say Gone Too Soon was cancelled, it just didn't get promotion. The title track was to be the tenth and last single and video for the album

With Mike, there was hearsay, with R.Kelly, there's concrete evidence. But this ain't about Michael's case but that shit was dumb in the first place lol
Why is it taking so long for this to go to trial??/////

Underage black girls at that. R. Kelly is cleverly tactical in whom he targets. Let him get caught with a little blonde blue eyed girl and watch America's wheels of justice roll instantly into action and his musical success dry up.

Pretty much and we all know this country don't give a damn about black girls so of course this case isn't as big a deal as MJ's was. Different levels of fame, Homophobia and race has a lot to do with why the R. Kelly & Michael Jackson's cases have been treated differently. OMG, could u imagine if there was a tape of MJ molesting a little boy similar to the R.Kelly one? Please. The world would end as we know it. That s*it would be everywhere. Why is it acceptable for R. Kelly to do what he does? He has settled out of court with underage girls and their parents FIVE TIMES! This is beyond ridiculous. People are such hypocrites.

Roman Polanski for example admitted to having sex with a 13 year old and fled the country to avoid being aressted, but everytime I read about Polanski I don't see the words "Child molestor or child rapist". I see the words "Brilliant director, Genius, etc". I do not understand these double standards at all. Look how quickly people were to prosecute Michael for something they have no proof that he did, but R. Kelly settles 5 cases, makes not one but TWO video tapes with underage girls, signs an abortion paper, marry's a 15 year old Aaliyah when he is 27 and his own Brother stated that R. Kelly molested their 12 year old cousin but he gets away with all this? Hell naw! Lock his ass up!
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

.....and I know for a fact that R. Kelly is a lot more gulity than Michael Jackson could ever be. At least R is caught on tape fornacating on little girls. There were no tapes of Michael fornacating with little boys.

Some of you people are just so obsessed with the name Michael Jackson that you insert his name in every damn thing you post!

Why keep talking about someone you claim to despise?

Get a life....the two cases are nothing alike and if some of you paid any attention to the facts of MJ's case and not the dribble that comes out of hack-tabloid journalist, you could make an informed decision on your own as opposed to going along with the lynch mob crowd!
