Santana/Helen Baylor Question for Music Aficionados

I was listening to the Sunday morning gospel music on V103 here in Chicago and a song named "Lifting Up the Name of Jesus" by Helen Baylor came on. I found myself singing along with the chorus like I knew it. Then it dawned on me that it was VERY similar to Santana's "Spirits Dancing in the Flesh." I searched and found that both songs were released in 1990. Does anyone know if there was ever any mention of the similarities of these two songs?

I know there was some talk a few years ago about a song on Santana's Shaman album being very similar to a Larry Graham song. So I was wondering if this was another case. Helen Baylor isn't that well known, but I know that Santana listens to Gospel music, so it is possible that he could have heard her song. Or maybe Helen heard Santana's song. Any light that you music aficionados can shed would be greatly appreciated.

If you get a chance, take a listen to the Santana song. All you really need to hear is the chorus, it sounds the same to me. My sister said the same thing when she heard Helen's song. I like both songs. I just heard Helen's today, but I liked it instantly. That might be because it sounds so similar to the Santana song.
