40s "Stone" Cold Blues Classic

Rolling Stone - Muddy Waters (1948)

Well I wish I was a catfish swimmin' in the deep blue sea
I would have all you good lookin' women, fishin' after me

I went to my baby's house and I set down on her steps
She said come on in now Muddy you know my husband just now left

Well my mother she told my father just before I was born
You gotta boy childs comin' gon' be, gonna be a rolling stone

Miles

This song ain't rude at all, is it?? lol

I'm sure it then later goes - 'I'm gonna fetch my second cousin, Little John the Conquer Root'. Willie Dixon (the songwriter) must have been talkin' about some low-down voodoo with Muddy one night.

John the Conquerer never works for me tho. I needs me a new mojo. wink
