Beatles, but both are essential.

Definitely The Beatles, probably because I grew up listening to a lot of their music. My oldest brother was (and still is) a HUGE fan of theirs.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

True, but Lennon described the Beatles as the Trojan horse--they smiled and were nice & friendly, but once you let them in they sang about sex & drugs. smile

Agreed. The Beatles may have been undercover or stealth bad-boys, but The Stones owned that image (or had it cultivated for them to oppose The Beatles early good-boy image) right out of the gate.

definitely, whatever the Beatles did later, they were still good boys. the Rolling Stones had rebellion right in their name

True, I went too far. But yours is too close. Maybe applesauce and sparkling cider. Beatles being the applesauce and Stones being the fizzy cider, of course.

The Rolling Stones are cool, one of the all times greats. But they are no way near as great as The Beatles who have such a broad range of music styles. The Rolling Stones are very limited musically.

i never understood the appeal of the stones. sure, they've done a good job at hitmaking, but hell...so have the moody blues. where's THEIR a-list stadium tour? lol

i know there's a whole attitude and asthetic to the stones which their fans just gobble up and can't get enough of, but during my 36 years on this planet, i'll be damned if i could ever figure out what that is all about. i guess i'm just square, which is fine. geek

the beatles are where it's at for me. they are to modern rock music as water is to cooking.
