After seeing Billy Preston on "Soul Train", I went out and bought Billy Preston's "Best Of" collection. The instrumental jam "Wide Stride" had my ass a'shakin' before my brain had a chance to think about it.

I had never heard that jam before but I noticed it was way ahead of it's time. Those synths are pure Prince/The Time early 1980s type and Billy was doing it in the 1970s. I see Prince must have been majorly influenced by this jam.

Anybody into this jam?

As you know,Prince used to play Preston's "Outta Space" during some of his shows in the mid-90s
