I loved their first album. Everbody Dance, Affection, and thinking about you
was the jam. I also had the 12 inch for affection with a funky b side called you turn me up. The second album blueberry gossip was average. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

The first single was "Everybody Dance". "Affecttion" was the second single from the album. There was a second Ta Mara & The Seen album called 'Blueberry Gossip' although it sounded like it was pretty much a Jesse solo album with Ta Mara on vocals. Margaret (Ta Mara) then recorded an album with Prince in the 90s under the name MC Flash that was a very cool soul-rock hybrid. Unfortunately that was never released and Prince lost interest in the project. She later had a solo track on the 1-800-New-Funk compilation called "Standing At The Altar" with a b-side on the single called "Whistlin' Kenny" that I think were leftovers from the MC Flash album. I hear she's performing around now, but I forget what the name of her band is.
