Well it's a new week for American Idol and this week 2 people will be eliminated from the show tomorrow. Who will it be? Tonight, the theme is rock and Jon Bon Jovi is the mentor. All I know is I hope Jordin and Melinda stay.

Jordin was okay, I thought. She definitely looked the part. But she should stick to the sweeping, inspirational ballads.

Lakesha was pretty damned good tongiht and Simon just kissed her=votes

Phil was good as well

Jordan...her outfit was cute

Im pretty sure Chris will sound like shit so i think it's safe to say he'll be going home this week.

If there truly is a God up above, he will make this no talent, one trick pony Blake Lewis disappear tomorrow night.....

Blake was moment to moment for me tonight. One minute it worked, the next minute it didn't, ad infinitum. It was brave, though. I'll give him that.


I liked his hair. And I just want to sink my teeth into that ass.

Here's my take so far:

Phil - ever since Country week, Phil's become a new man. I liked his version of Blaze of Glory. I could see the confidence and control he had with the crowd that he didn't have a month ago.

Jordin - I've been rooting for her but this performance of Livin on a Prayer was not good. Even she knew it wasn't all that. It sounded rough almost from the start. I hope she stays to next week but with AI, anything can happen

LaKisha - homegirl is back! That was a great perfomance. And that kiss from Simon was cool

Blake - I actually loved the performance. I was concerned about him doing You Give Love A Bad Name but I was very entertained and it was kinda funky. Black hair or blond, Blake is hot as hell . Dayspring, you are talking my language, I'd do him in a minute!

Chris - he was not bad but his performance of Wanted: Dead or Alive didn't move me. Simon was dead on it with his critique.

it's official. Melinda can sing ANYTHING. this girl is a phenomenon. not only the best singer ever to appear on American Idol, but probably one of the best singers in the world today. damn. she gets me all emotional 'n' shit.

I gotta say tonight was much better than I thought it would be. Just about everyone was great tonight. I think the people going home tomorrow will be Phil and Chris but I won't be shocked if Jordin goes home. Great show.

Just to quote Jon Bon Jovi from an interview last summer when asked about American Idol. "I understand why its a popular, but if you arent developing as an individual and a writer then youre just a lounge karaoke singer" 100% true. Your almost better off losing on this show, i hear that if you finish in the top 4 that you under the AI wing and you have to do their music, with their writers and their image.

the PROS about this:
-Chris will go home no matter what
-Jordin is fine..she blew the house down in the coveted final spot last week...those votes should keep her above water and she'll be in the Top 4 like we want her to be
-Phil is a wildcard...he was ok last week, good this week..he could go either way

the CONS about this:
-LaKeisha had to much ground to make up from the last couple weeks and last nights SPECTACULAR performace and a kiss from Simon might not be enough to save her.
-Last time we saw Blake he was in the B2...was boring last week...but he seems to have gotten the strongest reception last night and might have gotten most of the votes this week to keep him safe

the ONE SURE THING about this:

-Melinda is and will be soaring thru to the finals. She is exceptional!

My thoughts: Chris is out...LaKeisha or Phil following Chris

I hope it's the end 4 Phil and Chris.

But then that puts Phil in the final 4 ... which doesnt sit right with me.. but a real possibility.
