The Metro Fountain Blues Festival is the longest running "free of charge" ($5 suggested donation)blues festival in America.

Located along the San Carlos Plaza on the historic campus of San Jose State University , the Metro Fountain Blues Festival hosts over 8000 blues enthusiasts. Patrons enjoy food and crafts vendors, a great Beer and Wine Garden, the best sound system, a family friendly atmosphere, and, of course, the best musicians playing wonderful American music!

In addition to the $5 suggested donation, San Jose Blues Week, KSJS and Goodwill of Silicon Valley will be collecting shoes at the KSJS booth and the Information Booth. These shoes will be sold in Goodwill stores in order to fund training programs and career services. Shoes will also be collected at each San Jose Blues Week event.
