The only thing by Maxwell i know is his cover of "This woman`s work", what do you think of his albums?

I`ve been thinking of buying Joss Stone`s album too, is it any good?

Another cd i`ve been to lazy to get is James Morrison`s debut album... I still haven`t gotten over "You give me something" worship
I think it`s one of the best singles from the 00s

If you like TWW then your going to love his debut.Urban Hang Suite is amazing, you need to get that immedietly

Embrya is very different but in a good way, i just purchased it yesterday so it hasnt sunken in like UHS has, but i can see it growing on me a lot

Joss Stone's is nice, the best album she's recorded yet in my opinion

funny you mentioned James Morrison. I was thinking about buying that one last month but i just downloaded YGMS, but from what i hear it's a solid debut wink

I have to get Urban Hang Suite... nod Do you know if he`s recording an album now? I think i`ve read something about a new cd hmmm

I read a review of James Morrison`s album, where the reviewer called his voice soulful. I have to agree with that, especially in YGMS.

btw, did you see Joss Stone`s performance of "Natural woman" on the Aretha Franklin tribute show? I was speechless....

This is the first time I've heard a BR album, so I don't have anything to compare it to from their past catalogue, but this is what I hear when I listen to it:

My Bloody Valentine
Dubstar
"Lion and the Cobra"-era Sinead
The Cure

It's dream-poppy but not so droney/drifty that melody gets lost in the shuffle. Plus, I love the alternating male and female lead vocalists. The whole album keeps my attention because it has a lot of variety, but at the same time it's very focused and has its own definite sound throughout.

I'm very impressed with it.

I just got last week: 1999, the Batman Sondtrack, and the Beatles 1 CD (#1 songs from the UK and US). all great albums. I'm now trying to focus on getting a couple of imported CDs while not breaking the bank b/c they're so expensive. If anyone bys imported CDs online, lemme know some good sites. I'm tired of paying $30 for a CD (that was w/ shipping and handling included- so it was cheap then). All I can find now are imports for $60 not including shipping and handling.

I listened to the album this afternoon. It's a neat rockin' little disc! They kinda remind me of the defunct U.S. band Stiffed--punky-new wavey with the sister on vocals. I love the song "Scratch Your Name". You can hear that one plus two others on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/noisettesuk
