Why has the media almost completely IGNORED the Phil Spector trial?

i was just watching some of the prosecutor's opening statements live on court tv. Phil is definitely going to jail.


as for why it's being ignored.... well, he's not exactly a household name these days and hasn't been for about 40 years. as far as celebrity murder trials go, he barely even qualifies as a celebrity anymore.

Your right, the prosecution has a witness (phil's driver) claiming that Phil said that he thought he shot her, but that is not what the defense is claiming and Phil hasn't confessed on the record.

Is there anything physical evidence linking him to her killing, i.e blood on his clothes, gun residue on his hands. The reason why many of these famous celebs get off is because most of the time the physical evidence is flawed, In the case of O.J the glove didn't fit. In the case of Robert Blake there was no real evidence that he pulled the trigger. In the case of Michael Jackson there was no real physical evidence because of the nature of the accusations, so they had to rely heavily on circumstantial evidence.
