Harlepolis

That whole album was a slept on. Great song.

There's alot of pain and wisdom in the song "Turn".

Chaka was going through personal changes during that year(the same year where she released her solo debut).

I'll be SO glad when there'll be a book discussing Chaka's music and its process in length.

It`s a good album nod

There`s nothing like hearing Chaka Khan wail worship

btw, i read somewhere that she wasn`t impressed with Whitney Houston`s cover of "I`m every woman"... Have you heard anything about that?

Can the bitch comes out with something original for a change?

Thats what she said lol it was from British magazine "Soul & Blues" interview circa 1992.

You can't take what she said to heart,,,,coz she appeared in Whitney's video wink thats how moody she is.

Whaaat? falloff

Chaka got the FOULEST mouth ever,,,,she was notorious among industry insiders for telling people off to their faces(before she supposedly got clean in 2000). I'm supriced you missed this.

Even rough ass Miles Davis knew he couldn't fuck with her in an off day becoz she would raise a madhouse hell.

You read her book yet? You're in for BIG laughes, I promise you that lol

They say u never know love until somebody leaves you

music

This ..Stranger To Love / Destiny / Stay / Best Of Your heart are all Chaka Classics to me. Remind me of the days where my mother would sit in front of the record player on Saturday nights with her drink and I would sit under her and flip through all the records that were hers and mine.

Little did I know i was just being taught real musicianship and what a voice is supposed to sound like on a microphone.

I also had no idea this was a single. Shame its not on the hits ...hell they need a RE-Vamp of Rufus N Chaka hits with demos and all
Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Yes i remember chaka making a comment like can't she make her own songs. I didn't recall her calling whitney a bitch but eventually that is what whitney became in the mid 90's. lol
