Sly Stone recordings for pre-Airplane band Heard Grace Slick talk about her first band before Jeffferson Airplane. She said
that the band was so bad ,they couldnt play their instruments and Sly Stone taught them how to play everything and recorded all the parts for them. Is this released ? I forgot the name of the band and if they released anything. | |

I remember hearing that the recording sessions for The Great Society were a major motivating factor for Sly to start his own band, thinking something along the lines of "Shiiet if nobody else's is gonna make better music than THIS i'll just start my own band"  | |
