lastdecember said: Yeah im surprised too, i have heard reports of her cancelling shows last minute and thats why it reminds of Fiona. Back when Fionas second album came out, Fiona was playing a club here in NYC, and she came out did 2 songs, she seemed a little buzzed, then she started cursing the sound guys, she started her next song, then stopped said "Fuck This" and stormed off the stage, the show was never made up and since it had started and the opening act also had played, NO ONE got refunded, very uncool.
That's not true, the Fiona show at Roseland was later made up at The Beacon Theater (I was there). People were able to exchange their original tickets for the Beacon show and she apologized profusely about her ranting at the Roseland show throughout her performance.

ThreadBare said: I say it's heartbreaking that: 1) She's encouraged to live that way by the machine that's supposed to be pushing her. I've seen a lot of phenomenal singers in my time. And, if I went to a show and the performer I'd paid money to see was looking like AW did in that clip, I'd be asking for a refund.
I think it should be pretty understood when buying an Amy ticket that you're taking a bit of a risk. You could ask for a refund, but you wouldn't get it. Having said that, I gladly bought a ticket to see her again in NY next month. I was that impressed seeing her live for the first time back in March.

She was supposed to do gigs in Germany in April, then they were postponed until October because the US tour is of course more important. I hope you're not buying her too much drinks at concerts there until then!

Winehouse seems fragile, but she's a tough act to follow ... When a fan passed along a couple boxes of Cracker Jack, having read in an interview that she liked it, Winehouse sank to the floor and momentarily examined them before throwing them at the band, the Dap Kings (on loan from New York R&B singer Sharon Jones). While the musicians did not look amused, the audience cheered on her every move. NOT COOL . [Edited 4/28/07 15:41pm]

Okay, I'm just now listening to her stuff. DAMN, she really does sound very similar to Lauryn Hill

You think so? Are you listening to Frank or B2B? That comparison doesn't really come to my mind.

I'm listening to both. It's not the style of song, it's her VOICE that sounds very similar to Lauryn's. How quickly we forget
