I liked the video better than the song. They should have done a video for

Oh wow, that was The Bar-Kays?! I remember that song very well but I didn't remember who did the song. It's cheesy now but I liked it then. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

By this time the barkays had pared down their lineup. Longtime bassist james alexander left to pursue production and other ventures. He took keyboardist mark bynum with him and they put together a group called focus and they had a hot funky single in 1986 called zero in july that sounded just like the kind of funk the barkays are known for. I don't know if there was ever a full album release on this project. Around 1987, when the barkays pared down their lineup it just seemed they lost steam after allen jones death. They had one hot single around this time called certified true. Don't laugh at my funk
