Macy Gray-Finally Made Me Happy I can't get enough of this song the last few days. Sound like they cheated a little with some studio magic, but I love the groove. Good to hear Natalie Cole in the back. Anyone ever hear of this piano player before? Name is Cassandra O'Neil. Seems like a West coast band.
Unfortunately, Macy blows her whole wad on the first song. Too much will.i.ain't. Someone please tell Justin Timberlake to stay away from the keys. since Run & Them were saying "Here we go"

I've been meaning to do a "review" on the album but kept forgetting. It's still in my player after at least 3 weeks. The first 6 songs keep me pretty good, & one other one:
Finally Made Me Happy - love it, nice melody, good to hear Natalie, ending is a little too stretched out though... Shoo Be Doo - LOVE IT!! Probably my favorite, can hear this over & over... What I Gotta Do - very sweet song, another good melody... Okay - "sing it, babies!" another good track & I'm diggin' the lyrics - "I been throwin' pots & pans, not holdin' hands, oh lover tis the season..." Glad You're Here - kinda bunk but it grows on you, I'm not sure why Fergie is even mentioned b/c she's barely on it (thankfully), it's nice though, hook is repetitive as hell... Ghetto Love - couldn't take the shouts in the chorus @ first (it's SO high school football game!) BUT the rest of the song grew on me, so I had to take the bad w/ the good It's interesting that I even like a song like this b/c it's the complete opposite of what I feel/respect/am into, yet I dig it. & her cadence in the first line after the chorus is unbeatable - very stylized, lazy & intense all @ once. It's my shit right now Slowly - kind of run of the mill Macy, not much effort but nice enough not to skip... The rest is unlistenable. Strange Behavior is funny but some stuff needs to just be a skit you play for friends, not a cut that's supposed to hold weight on your album...

Love the album and play it regularly. I'm feeling all the songs mentioned but I also like Get Out. Had no idea that was Justin in the background. I'm no Fergie fan but Glad You're Here is a definite grower and i think The One is really sweet and sorta reminds me of Prince a little. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Am I the only person that thinks she sounds like a drunk 8-year-old boy performing at his school's talent show?

Agree 100% on this one, and Natalie C. definitely makes FMMH for me. I happened to catch a glimpse of Macy & Natalie on Leno last night. They all sounded questionable but Natalie looked amazing! Too much screaming from her though, she wasn't smooth with it. & Macy was flat on the higher notes.

Damn, I heard Macy was going to be on but never thought Natalie would be on with her. Figured she’d be on her own like her Dancing With the Stars performance. Maybe its on YouTube. I definitely like the video. I thought Will.I.Am was actually playing on it until I read the liner notes. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
