I'm not sure who he would sound like, I think he's more musician/songwriter than singer but his voice is still cool. He has a falsetto thing happening but not enough to draw the Prince/Maxwell comparison, plus his vocal is not as clean. But his songs are kickass, he's one of my favorites now

sì. i hung out with her and her band after a show last year. this girl took my pic with her but never sent it to me. anyway...she is awesome. we talked for a while and i almost ended up in the tour bus. lol. believe it or not..she gave me her email address..which i've never used, but above that she asked for my phone #. umm yeah of course you can. she said she'd call.. i won't hold my breath! and that she should have a new album out in about a year. after promotion of her first one is over.

a highlight of the show was.....

some idiot girl in the audience decided to use a less than appropriate Spanish term towards BeBe while she was performing. thinking she was soooo cool because she learned a very spanish saying....well needless to say BeBe put her in her place and told her, though she spoke spanish she should really be more aware of what she's saying and who she's saying it to. i think that girl was the 1st one out the door at the end of the show.

I have no problem with curse words in English but they're certainly not usual in Spanish. I don't know if I could listen to the Spanish version of Sexy MF

Is it easy for you to get new Spanish Music over there? I think you'll have your ways but don't doubt to ask me if you can't find anything.

well yes and no. now there are hardly any cd stores. however there's an independently owned one that gets really good stuff. my "friend" back home has sent me some stuff. a good portion of my cd collection is nothing but Spanish artists. Manolo Escobar is very hard to find on cd.but i have his 30 greatest hits on cd. i love a lot of the standards and flamenco music i grew up on or that my madre played/sang around the house. love La Gran Diva Lola Flores. there's a lot of pop stuff that i like obviously. online is an option but some don't ship to certain places and some just have crap selections. i have Marta's "Lo Mejor De" that comes with a bonus dvd of some of her videos and an interview. Monica Naranjo's has been hard to find though.

well this is 1 of maybe 5 hip hop albums i own. the others being things from early 80's it's actually not that bad. i think the rhymes in Spanish are genius and to me are more 'natural' to my ear. .

anyway. there's one radio station out here that plays Spanish artists and that keeps me up to date on what i'm missing out. some television programmes as well. many times i've been in the music store just browsing and if i see something that is from Spain i automatically buy it without having heard it. i've found some great stuff that way.
