some how my thread got lost sad . Anyway, I was asking who is/was hotter as a teen pop sensation? Bobby "kang of R&B" Brown or new skooler Chris Brown? I personally love Bobby Brown! He was the king of stage back in the late 80's/ early 90's. His career was on fire. I recently got his first cd King of stage which is very good too, (pre-my prerogative). I don't own Chris Brown's cd but i've heard the singles and they're catchy but my vote goes to B. Brown!

You do know he was in New Edition, right? Just checkin'!

Bobby Brown was very successful in the 80's and early 90's. I think the marriage to Whitney Houston hurt his career too.

A few of my favorites from his solo years: My Prerogative, Don't Be Cruel, Roni, Every Little Step, and the Ghostbusters II song "On Our Own".

Bobby Brown.

I have a VHS tape of Bobby around the My Perogative days. It's an hour long interview in which he denounces all drug use. Crazy.

"Get Away" is the shit. Put that on and dance.

Without Bobby Brown setting the stage, there would be no Chris Brown. Bobby was the first to intermingle a hip hop bad boy image with his R&B style. In that respect, I still think he doesn't get his fair share of credit. I remember him from N.E. fame and my brother had his King of Stage album. But Don't Be Cruel showed Bobby doing the damn thing.

you are so right about that! B. Brown paved the way for Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion and maybe Ne-Yo. They are all derivative of M. Jackson but B. Brown bridged the gap between MJ and James Brown. Hey another "Brown" lol King of Stage is bumpin because Larry Blackmon produced the album so there's some good electrofunk on there.
