Am I the only one that doesn't own an Ipod?

Yeah, I think at this point I probably am. It seems like everywhere I turn everyone and their mother has one of those damn things. It's like, yeah, they're accessible and convenient. But they're expensive for me right now, and whenever I do have enough money to afford one, I usually end up buying something more important.

Besides, I'm happy with my cassette walkman. I'm old school like that. music

Seriously the way technology is going, iPods will be useless very soon. I have one but they are a pain in the ass, I dont download songs, i still buy cds because Downloading is just a waste of time, plus i need a book or lyrics, AND NO im not printing the damn thing out, whats with all this DO THIS DO THAT, why dont i just record the damn thing myself. It just seems like alot of annoying steps to be taken, Download,Trasnfer to your iPod, print out the book and lyrics, how about just buying the damn cd and listening to it, and they wonder why ALL SALES including digital are down

I love the convenience of iPods, personally, but that's not gonna make me wanna stop buying CD's. I don't want just the songs from my favorite artists, damnit.. I want the whole package.. the photos, the lyrics, the liner notes... what the artist intended to fully deliver. It enhances the experience for me, especially with top-notch sound quality.

Then again, I'm also a collection geek razz .. I love my music and anime collections.

I don't have one, but I have iTunes on my cell phone. I can hold 100 songs, which isn't nearly as many as what an iPod can hold, but I still haven't filled it up yet. I just don't listen to music on the go that often.

Yeah, i recently saw Elton John on a talk show and someone was shocked that he didnt own an iPod or a Cell Phone. He basically is a total believer in the whole package NOT soundbytes of artists, he wants to hear everything an artist planned to be heard (even though some cds are way too long he says) and trust me he is a collector of everyones releases.

Just a side note about cell Phones, research is coming out that Cell Phones are killing off the BEE population which intern kills plants then us one day. The waves in cell phones and what they give out causes BEES to fall from the sky and die, kind of the reason they dont let u use it on a Plane. Lets see how many People are so serious about enviroment that they would honestly give up their cell phones.

The View? This an educated research, unlike useless shows like the View. This is actual research that has been done over the last five years and it shows the decline, almost extinction of BEES. But as like everything else People are "Phony" because they say they care about the enviroment, but they care just as long as their live is inconvienced, thats why the war is still going, because its being fought by 150,000 kids from the south and midwest, and everyone else could care less, but as soon as you say DRAFT you'll see how quick they move.

I own an ipod but i don't have a cell phone. I swear i'm the only one in the world without a cell phone. But honestly, i don't need one which is why i don't cave in. It seems people are more interested in the entertainment value of the phone (i.e. text messages, photographs, games etc.) than the actual phone.
Because unless you're in business and keep getting oncalls or whatever, i can't see that the hundreds of people that pass me in their cars while talking on the phone are talking anything important.
Like, the other day i seen a woman walking her dog while talking on her phone. wtf?

I dont think thats the point, seriously most people dont download albums they go and get a song for 99 cents because they figure the artist sucks. Actually i think probably 75-80% of people do that, take a look at Timbalands new single, in threee weeks its got something like 600,000 sales for a download, but his album has just sold 200,000.

and really, how is that different than going to the record store back in the day and buying a 2-track single?

I never bought an iPod. I say as long as you are happy with your cassette Walkman then more power to ya, NWF!

All of my walkmans for cassette long since stopped working last decade.

I've been getting by on my Discman:

But recently it started spinning very LOUDLY... sounded like it was rewinding a damn cassette, even with brand new batteries.

Well yesterday, I had a CD playing... and the spinning got quieter and quieter, until it finally stopped spinning.

The display was stuck on " 02 --:-- " as if it was trying to find its place in the song.

But it had finally stopped spinning altogether.

An MP3 player with large storage is awesome. I have every album I have every owned on my iPod. I love hitting Prince, shuffle - everything. I also have all my bootlegs on there.

I prefer the iPod for ease of use, plus all the 3rd party aftermarket people make more stuff for the iPod than all other players combined. Even car maunfacturers have hook ups built in.

Hop in the car and have everything Prince ever did (that you own ;->) - let's see you do that with vinyl! (I do like vinyl too.... just not in my car - skips like hell!)
