Earth, Wind & Fire - Their greatest album & best four song sequence As the title of this thread suggest, I'm interested in learning what y'all consider the greatest EWF album. Also, what do you consider their best four song sequence? Oh and... not 'Greatest Hits' shait, I mean album tracks 
 ... this is actually a pretty damn hard question 
I think I'm going to go with... 
followed by...

Their greatest four song sequence is either Shining Star - That's The Way Of The World - Happy Feelin' - All About Love or Getaway - On Your Face - Imagination - Spirit followed by Serpentine Fire - Fantasy - In The Marketplace - Jupiter It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

For many years,I considered 'All N All' my favorite EW&F album but in recent years,I have grown to really appreciate 'I Am'.It is now my favorite album by them and I think it has the strongest 4-song sequence: In The Stone Can't Let Go After The Love Is Gone Let Your Feelings Show   | |

You know,my favorite EW&F album changes from time to time For many years,I have said 'All N' All' is my favorite.Currently,'I Am' is my fav but if you ask me this same question two years from now,I'll probably say 'Spirit' or 'Head To The Sky',lol.They have so many amazing albums,it's hard to choose a favorite!!
As for the 'Raise' album....I agree,it is really overlooked.I enjoy most of it.The two slow jams ("Wanna Be With You" and "My Love") are among their best."I've Had Enough" and the rock-flavored "The Changing Times" are superb tracks! Having grown up buying all these albums when they first came out, my ranking of their top 5 albums is:
1) That's the Way of the World 2) Gratitude 3) All N' All 4) Spirit 5) Open Our Eyes before this string of albums they didn't quite click on all cylinders and afterwards they got watered down. If you've got funk, you've got style. | |

I'm gonna list my Top 5 EW&F albums....
1)I Am---Many people view this as the album where they "sold out" but I think it's a stunning song cycle.The entire Side One is the strongest side of any EW&F album.Several of these songs became classics.In 1979,this was THE album to have! You already know the hits,but the non-singles are amazing too."You And I" is my favorite.That song and "Wait" could have easily been singles. 2 All N All---Top-notch songs and stunning vocal arrangements make this album a masterpiece."Fantasy" is breezy and exotic.This album has it all: sizzling funk ("Serpentine Fire","Jupiter"),smooth slow jams ("Love's Holiday","Be Ever Wonderful") and even a fiery Latin jazz workout ("Runnin").What more could you ask for? 3)That's The Way Of The World---what can I say that hasn't already been said? This album deserves every bit of praise it has received. 4) Spirit---"Getaway" is one of the funkiest jams they ever released! That song practically screams "summer of 76",lol.This is a tight album with no filler whatsoever."Imagination" is blissful. 5) Head To The Sky---One word: "Clover" | |

Of all the great Earth, Wind & Fire album, IMO this was the greatest one of them all (one of my all-time favorite albums by any artist):
Of a four-song sequence, you could go with "Serpentine Fire," "Fantasy," "Jupiter" and "Love's Holiday" -- though I would love to incorporate the transcending "I'll Write a Song for You."
