what ever happened to Teddy Riley?

I liked Guy, Blackstreet, and most of what Teddy produced for other artists. I think people forgot all of the tracks he produced. whatever happened to him?

Not good news. Teddy's managed to make enemies of most of his business and band associates (he reneged on the Dreamworks deal in particular) and owes ridiculous amounts of money to various people (even the mafia).

according to wiki:

At the same time, in may 2006, an interview with Underground Soul Online Magazine, Riley announced that he would be working on three key projects. A new Blackstreet album, a new Guy album and Michael Jackson for his new album scheduled for late 2007.

Riley will be also be working with Australian dance-pop singer Kylie Minogue for her comeback album in 2007.

Riley will be working with The Backstreet Boys for their comeback album in June 2007.

I don't know of any artist who has kissed and broke up with a group as much as
teddy riley. I know i found it very petty of teddy to break up with guy right
after their 2000 release was dropped and there was so much hype. He broke up with the group because he did not like the drama that was going between aaron and his baby's mama and he did not like the way the hall boys dressed and their cocky
attitude when they reunited. I believe teddy has been known to show a bit of
arrogance himself.

Teddy is currently putting together a Black Eyed Peas kind of thing.

No details yet.

"Teddy... U Jam!"

"Jam... ahh Jam... Teddy Jam 4 Me, Yeah..."
"He's a musician's musician..."

All I know is that Teddy seems to mainly do rehashes of his old stuff for Japanese acts these days. I'd be very surprised if that Kylie Minogue happens.

The Blackstreet and Guy albums definitely aren't happening.

Can anybody remember some of the stuff he produced for other artists. I remember he did some stuff for:

Big Daddy Kane
Red headed king pin
Wrecks in Effect
Keith Sweat
Father MC
Heavy D

Somebody should come out with and old school Teddy Riley mix tape.

Yep yep! cool

Honestly, his music suffered when he became more focused on sounds insteads of songs.

Did you ever notice the large amount of platinum discs and stage outfits of Teddy's on eBay? Apparently Teddy had a lot of his stuff with a storage company and he couldn't even be bothered/or afford to pay their bills. So they auctioned his stuff off.

He was involved with the track, "Bounce Around" by Tony! Toni! Toné!

That is my jam! music

Beyond that, his stuff with Michael Jackson is always great. (I liked "2000 Watts" and "Shout." :box: Not as much as "Jam," Remember The Time" and "Dangerous." However, I still liked both)

I also loved "My Prerogative" biggrin

I wish him and Michael would work on some great stuff for Michael's new album. I hope they do.

Also, wasn't he somehow involved with Hammer's "Pumps and a Bump?" confuse

Teddy's five remixes of "Love Sign" are great, much better than Shock G's. He produced Princess' "Say I'm Your Number One" as well (not credited though).
