Just to give everyone a little PCD 101. The group was formed in 1992-93 by Robin Antin, she was actually in the "Dont Cha" video, the group was mainly just a burlesqe type show, they rotated known females/models in and out, Carmen Electra was there for a bit, but was not the creator by any means, she was just a guest, just like Christina was and Gwen too at one point. When the idea came about to do a CD they had to "Hire" a singer, first up was Melody Thornton, then they wanted someone with "lead singer" appeal, someone that was a bit older, Melody at the time of hiring was 20, so NICOLE was hired, she was signed for 1 album under the terms that she would be able to record a solo album at some point. Done Deal. The other girls are really the only "real" members, Melody and Nicole, despite singing almost everything, are just on a 1 cd basis. Since the cd took off big time here and overseas (9 million in cd and singles sales worldwide) obviously universal wants to keep them intact. Many rumours are circulating, Nicoles CD is done at this point, and rumours are the 2nd PCD album with vocals from all members is ready to go too. they have NO TALENT... they are just OKAY looking... PCD have NO PERSONALITY.. they always let the Hawiian one sing every song.. and they only show her off... |

BTW, who's your favorite PCD member (besides Nicole)? And how did the rumors about Carmit being a tranny started? I'm only asking because I need help to settle a crazy argument with VoicesCarry about this issue. | |

I'm only asking because I need help to settle a crazy argument with VoicesCarry about this issue. The whole "tranny" thing in my opinion just started from people seeing their early act in clubs and lounges, and just going off of her look, i dont know of any one incident but i would say thats how it started. As for my favorite member besides Nicole, it would be Ashley Roberts, she has been a Doll longest outside of Carmit, she was part of the early shows in clubs and lounges. She also will be doing some vocals on the next cd.
