Her concert was the reason I was in California.

I didn't buy any Madonna at Amoeba.

What do you think of "Can it be love"? That`s my favorite track music

It's a good song but overall,I don't think this is one of her strongest albums.Alot of filler here ("You're All The Boogie I Need" is horrendous).

But I love "Alladin's Lamp" music

now THAT's my favorite from this album
possibly my favorite Teena Marie song period

"Too Many Colors (Tee's Interlude)" is great too
and "Now That I Have You"
and "Why Did I Have To Fall In Love With You (uuuh uuuh aaaah aaah aaah aaah aaah aaah aaaaah)"

love @ the Minnie records
I thought I would piss my pants
when I found a mint condition copy
of Perfect Angel about a half a year ago
it has the sticker & everything

I had a copy of Adventures In Paradise
but I sold it back (after removing the inside sleeve of course...
which I have up on my wall)
it barely played without the needle skipping
so I can hold out until I find a new one
besides they paid me 10 bucks for that thing
where I only paid like $3...
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."

First I need to get a turntable so that I can listen to the vinyl that I already own...and only THEN I can think about going on a "vinyl dig".

I can't wait for my semester to be over so I can take a day out to go downtown to trade in some junk and excess CDs and DVDs for some nice vinyl at Encore and maybe Wazzo. I got to make a list but my papers are top priority right now.

On the ALBUM, is "I'm Ready" an edited version or is it the 6 minute (12") version?

The album contains the full-length 6-minute version lol

great stuff you have found soul alive. I am trying to show my daughter how the quality of vinyl is a bit different from cd. I have a lot of records that have gone to static, but thank goodness some of the rare jammies are in great shape after all these years. mine are still in their covers too.

This picture is me standing in front of Ameoba Records in San Francisco.

But apparently there is ALSO a Los Angeles location.

I would love an LP collection if I had the money and a high-end system. I think it will always be one of those new-vs-old arguments. I do agree that they have a distinctly different sound (almost a "warmth").

To be honest with myself though, CDs sound better and take up less room (and I don't even play them, I play digital audio from the computer).
