And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

damn, i loved their style, it was like a soul-funk-mellow kind of groove they had. like they was before their time or something. i wish they could have churned out another album. Just watched the video, so many memories... Damon Dash sought of took away from the vid though, they could have done without his presence being in there. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yes they did. Buying their CD and hearing that cover made me realize I was seriously late in getting a Rose Royce compilation.

I used to play "Full of Smoke" all the time when it came out.
Love it... I forgot that Dawn Robinson from EnVogue was in the video. (and Orange Juice Jones at the end) [Edited 4/25/07 22:50pm]

I just saw their video last night. There were 2 versions of that video too. Their CD was pretty good and it came out at the right time. A lot of the songs had that "Marvin 1972 - Trouble Man" vibe.
They had a new video out..I think it was a parody of "Purple Rain".

they had a cool song with jay-z from -the streets is watching- sdtrk called bring "back your love". it was just a generic computer-love sample with a lil acoustic guitar throwin on it. but i liked it anyway lol

oui oui!!!
I loved "Full Of Smoke" because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

"Pull It" was my favorite track off the first CD. That song captured the vibe of Marvin Gaye and Eddie Kendricks in my opinion.
Christopher mentioned "Bring Back Your Love". It was a little generic, vocally. It should not be confused with "Just Leave Your Love" which was a hot track in my opinion. [Edited 4/26/07 9:49am]
