doubt it. things have been very, very quiet out of the bowie camp lately, with the exception of his organization of that concert festival thingy.
now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

It's the longest he's been without releasing any new music.

But then again, by this point...

That is true. Four years since the dreadful Reality. I read that he's a). not going to be touring anymore and b). contemplating never releasing anything again because of his disenchantment with the music business. The former is fairly likely, given his health problems, but I'm sure that he'll release new music. There was talk of an instrumental album, and he ongoing rumour about Toy finally getting released.

Yes, he is. The Glass Spider tour DVD and CD. No shit! Betcha can't wait to relive that nadir in Bowie fandom. June 4th.

And Miguel and Anx, before you start saying "C'mon, it wasn't THAT bad ..." - it REALLY WAS you know.

The Young Americans reissue is coming out soon. And there was a little blurb in Mojo magazine about something new planned for later this year.

Already out in the UK. Delayed in the US because some stores refused to carry the album with this cigarette on the cover, so it had to be airbrushed out. How pathetic! You're not going to get cancer from someone smoking on a CD COVER.

It pains me to say this, but I might actually buy the dvd. Yes, that was a rotten tour in practically every imaginable way - bad stage, bad special guest guitarist, bad hair, even the set-list was subpar - but it was one of the first big shows I ever saw, so I'd probably like to revisit it if only for nostalgia's sake.

Curious though - when you say "Glass Spider...CD", are you referring to a Never Let Me Down re-issue (yeesh to that possibility...), or does somebody actually think there's a need for a live album from this tour?

He's propably just enjoying life, and rightfully so, but still... I hope there will be some sign of creativity soon.

Miles

I heard talk somewhere a while ago that he was working on a new album, but not sure what's happening with this, if true.
