How's The US Receiving Keane?

.

Aside from their Grammy nods, are they big on radio over there? any certain hit songs? etc.

i mean seriously, you can't go wrong with these guys, they're so on point.

and on a side note, i quite enjoy Tom's imagination when it comes to songwriting nod

That one song from the last album was big, but otherwise, they seem to be ignored on the grounds of being Coldplay/U2 clones... smile

Keane are fucking horrible! Boring, bland and flabby. Razorlight are arguable worse.

they're far from being boring, surely some would think otherwise but following their albums very well, and being aware of what's going on in music today, these guys are far from being monotonous or formulaic.

they're DEF no sappy Westlife or terribly lost Razorlight.

there's quality to all elements of their work.

There's a nice Tall Pall remix of "Is It Any Wonder" that got some spins in American clubs and charted on Billboard's dance chart. That's the only Keane song I know.

I think their first 2 songs "Somewhere Only We Know" and "Everybody's Changing" were moderate hits over here.

They're one of those bands that seem to be cursed by being too critically acclaimed from the outset. I don't think they're "cool" enough either for most people. They're Coldplay-lite - and it's not really all that cool to be a Coldplay fan.

Also, the intro to their latest song "Is It Any Wonder" seems like it's lifted directly out of several U2 songs.

Somewhere only we know is down right magical.

i was so pissed off it was featured on the trailer for Lake House, but not on the film itself nor the OST.

it would've been incredible on the last scene.
