It looks like Rick James new CD "Deeper Still" will finally be out on May 15.

I think this is a similar version of "Rick James Forever" that was supposed to be released two years ago.

I hear the first song that is playing on the radio is not too impressive but hopefully he will bring the funk back on the rest of the tracks.

I haven't heard the new song either, but I have not yet heard a good review of the song from those who have.

I think this album is actually going to be released.....Amazon has it listed as coming out on May 15.

I was dissappointed with his releases after 1984ish (after "Cold Blooded"). That is why I was hoping he brought back some funk in this one.

Unfortunately, I can almost guarantee there will be no funk on there also. His last album "Urban Rapsody" had no funk whatsoever. I get the feeling this album will be along the lines of the last album.

They REALLY need to re-release his albums because it seems that only Street Songs is the only non greatest hits album out there from Motown. "Wonderful" was released on CD last year

I heard the first single "Deeper Still " on the radio.They play it alot in my area.It's a decent song.The music sounds like today,but thankfully,the vocal arrangement is classic Rick.It's just great to hear his voice again! I look forward to the album.I wonder how much more stuff is in the vault?
