It's too bad what happened to JaRule

Remember how JaRule had a couple of nice duos with various R&B singers: J.Lo, Christina Milan, mary J, etc. He had some nice jams. The problem is that he let 50 cent get to him. He always said that Ja Rule was too soft with his music by using R&B hooks, and the next thing you know 50 cent is doing the same. While 50 starts using R&B hooks, Ja Rule trys to be a Hard rapper again ( it just didn't work ). I wish Ja Rule would go back to what works for him. Leave the gangster shit alone. Ja Rule has a nice rap on the new Musiq track. 50 has only been good for 2 hits ( 21 questions, and In Da Club )

Man, Ja Rule's problem is that people got sick of him (Much like they're starting to do with Beyonce). He sung on everybody's cd and was in every video. If I never again hear "MURRRRR-DERRRRR"!! It would suit me just fine.

One thing is true:

The entire Murder Inc. posse (Ashanti, Ja Rule...) reigned over the airwaves in the early 00's.

I don't enjoy either artist but 50 Cent completely obliterating Ja Rule's career is almost awe-inspiring.

When is the last time you heard of one artist deliberately setting out to utterly destroy a rival's career and actually pulling it off?

That said, Ashanti's "Only U" was hot.

but now 50 cent is nowhere, played out like everyone else, its called overkill. Its different when your James Brown or the Beatles and putting out 3 albums a year then when your 50 cent doing the same shit over and over on every cd,every guest rap, every protege project. Just a quick note, the girl OLIVIA that 50 cent was bragging was gonna be the next BIG thing at G UNIT was dropped after 2 years and having her album shelved, she is already bad mouthing him and the way he works, basically saying the other members of G Unit better watch their back if their albums dont sell, because they are all on Borrowed time.

It's called business.

50 Cent is a business man. That much is obvious by the way he's handled G-Unit and spead it into other areas. Whatever you think of him the guy has business acumen.

Every Artist on any corporate, commercial record company is on 'borrowed time'. It is all chart and sales-based.

50 Cent has had way more hits than the two you cited. 'Candy Shop', 'Just a Little Bit', 'Window Shopper' etc, etc.

Both his solo CD's sold millions of copies. His last one, 'The Massacre' had 2 singles in the US Billboard at the same time.

50 Cent uses R&B hooks sometimes, sometimes not. His mixtapes tend to showcase the harder stuff. He makes what sells. Afterall, he's hardly a 'concious' rapper is he?

Ja Rule is Ja Rule. It all goes back to a personal dispute between 50 cent and Ja Rule early on, before 50 cent was famous. Ja Rule didn't let 50 cents criticism 'get' to him, his fans did. They deserted him in droves.

Candy shop, just a little bit, and window shopper sounded a lot like the same shit to me.

As far as Ja Rule that Murderrrrr shit was ridiculous. I was never a huge fan of Ja Rule. I just liked some of his music. My main point was the fact that 50 ruined Ja Rule's career and stole his style of music.

I can't stand 50 he has no talent. I definitely don't miss Ashanti doing her little head shake in her videos ( does anybody know about her head shake ). Her little head shaking move is ridiculous.
