Stoic Former Tori Fans In Doubt Of The New Album

Herman zegt:
Who is Tori
Lars zegt:
biggrin
Herman zegt:
I am kinda done with her
Herman zegt:
ever since Mona Lisa Smile, wasn't it?
Herman zegt:
Where she guested
Herman zegt:
as torchsong singer
Herman zegt:
And all I could do was roll my eyes
Lars zegt:
oh god yes., and those were horrid songs too
Herman zegt:
and even though I liked the occasional song on that cover album, the entire concept was SO contrived.
Herman zegt:
before you know it she lets her kids pick her songs, like Madonna and Kate.
Herman zegt:
and she will prance around in 70's outfits.
Lars zegt:
exactly! it's too bad, but it's over for me now. I will only start listening when she makes a good album insteadof radio friendly fodder. and stops shouting her songs have a political message, blablabla. Might be, but they SOUND uninspired and boring
Herman zegt:
SUperboringunsexyunfunkyuncool
Lars zegt:
LOLOLOL
Lars zegt:
exactly.
Herman zegt:
wake up to reality, Tori.
Herman zegt:
Go do some shopping
Herman zegt:
make song about washing machine; check
Herman zegt:
Do vague interview about leylines, check
Herman zegt:
doll up to try to invoke the spirit that once made me write good songs, check
Lars zegt:
hahaha
Herman zegt:
Screw my engineer/producer/whatever; check
Herman zegt:
Move to the UK, check.
Herman zegt:
tell everyone I really like Led Zep and my father is OH SHOCK a priest/vicar/whatever
piss on Jesus; check
Herman zegt:
Perform really tedious concerts in Rotterdam;check
Lars zegt:
biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
Lars zegt:
Esp the "i'm a minister's daughter"
confused
Lars zegt:
in EVERY interview; "cuz you know, i'm a minister's daugter and blablabla"
Lars zegt:
we already picked up on THAT, you boring hussy.

I told Nathan I wanted to hear some NiN beats in her songs. Stop the dolling up of Tori! If she is going to invoke anything, go back to anger!

But then again, how much past trauma can you turn into new anthems for feministic lesbians? rolleyes

No. I am still nicking it. Downloads are slow, due to the fact I am, like, downloading about 40 boxsets at the same time...

true. sad but true. then again, look at Bjork. she doesn't seem to
have that much trouble coming up with new brilliant stuff. but i'm
fairly certain that's because she's partly insane

You know, I just can't like Tori. There's a song or two I like, but that's it.
And Tori fans bug the heck outta me. lol

I often apply the word 'rabid' when describing Toriphiles.

I will admit we tend to be obsessive. In fact, I was just saying to Tori yesterday... "girlfriend... we need some space. you up in my face all the time." she took it well cool

Carrie, I was hoping you'd be a Tori fan - but then again, the very fact you replied to a Tori thread must mean you have some interest!

So that's not so bad. I can agree to an extent though, as Tori fans can be rather 'hardcore' about her.

If you like Kate Bush or Happy Rhodes, you'll go up again in my estimation, however!

And if you don't then that's it, you're dumped.

lol

Interest in Huey, yes.

Heehee.
Toriphiles are easy to recognise. They first thing Tori drains them off is this thing called humour. People like that get allergic to sarcasm.

These people are beyond redemption and hope. We need to stake them with wooden poles, preferably through the heart.

cool

I can certainly understand that. I was on line for a Tori instore signing at Tower records a few years ago and these fans behind me had a little radio and played one of her songs and started singing along. I was like "oh no, this is exactly what I was hoping to avoid when coming to this meet and greet." disbelief

The real funny thing was that they didn't even have bracelets that allowed you into the store to meet Tori (you got one if you bought her album there earlier that week). They were pleading with security to let them into the store, but were denied. Meanwhile, I got Tori to sign my "God" 7" and she hugged me. evillol

We have to put you outa yer misery by playing LOTS of Kate Bush.
