Quincy Jones

I have just discovered that Quincy poroduce the George Benson "Give Me The Night" album. I have just re-discovered this album, it was one of my Dad's favourite albums when I was young. I especially loved Moody Mood's. It's a great album and as many things in life is under appreciated.

U should also get Masterjam from Rufus and Chaka Khan. It is a great Q production also. Also, let us not forget all of the Brothers Johnson stuff.

Yep. Just because his albums with other artists haven't sold billions people don't think he has done much with other artists, but he has. I also like his own stuff; The Dude and Back on the Block are also great.

I don't think Minnie is on this one, but it is a true masterpiece. MJ is on it doing backgrounds on "The Dude". Every track is amazing.
1. Ai No Corrida
2. Dude, The
3. Just Once
4. Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me
5. Somethin' Special
6. Razzamatazz
7. One Hundred Ways
8. Velas
9. Turn On The Action
I would even say it is one of his best "solo" works.

I think what makes Quincy such a unique producer is his Jazz background. Most mainstream producers are either pop/rock/RnB. But with a Jazz producer you get a different sound, it was this different sound that gave Off The Wall, such a unique sound and stop it sounding like the usual disco album of the time.

Great album thumbs up!
Louis Johnson plays bass on most of the tracks cool
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Quincy is an American treasure. i have all his stuff (somewhere) He's getting up in age, but whenever the Lord calls him home, the tributes will be well deserved and the praises effusive
