Timbaland - Arabic Music

Can someone tell me if the samples on this video are credited?:

http://www.youtube.com/wa...h_response

This article says the Big Pimpin' sample is uncredited:

music Those Arabic beats are bangin'!

Just because it doesn't say in the liner notes, doesn't mean it wasn't cleared.

Stop making excuses for this useless cunt Timbaland. These samples weren't credited or cleared.

Missy's albums have obvious samples that would need clearance, as they are million sellers. Those ones are not listed.

You don't have to print those things unless it is stipulated by the clearance agreement.

We know that some samples are cleared and not in the liner notes.

So there is no way to know if he cleared these ones or not.

For these Arabic ones, I would bet NOT though.

this is the song that Timbo sampled for Aaliyah's Don't Know What To Tell You

Warda - Batwannes Beik

Sample starts at 2:34

http://www.cools4u.com/so...p?id=19698

..

Big Pimpin's sample

Abdulhalim Hafez - Tekhonouh

http://egyptian.salmiya.n...aleem27.rm

..

Though Aaliyah's one is WAY more obvious that it's so blunt considering it wasn't cleared.

These two sites seem alright. I've never used them though.

The Aaliyah, "Don't know what to tell ya" sample seems to be cleared... at least ASCAP lists the original composer (though his name seems to be spelt wrong) and lyricist...

Thanx for the clarification on Aaliyah's song. For some reason, I always thought that the song sampled from a George Wassof song, I don't know why.

I found this other article from the same website. It has Timbaland's response when asked about Khosara and Big Pimpin':

Reading that article completely takes my hatred of Timbaland to another level. What an ignorant prick.

Agreed.

Timbaland stole from UK Drum & Bass and he stole from Arabic music. That's his SOLE gig.
