Which Lionel on the Jeffersons you like best? Personally, I liked the original, Mike Evans, he was cool and nice looking guy. May he R.I.P. The other one Damon Evans was too much of a wuss and winer to me. I was finally glad when they brought the original back. Peace and be wild!

Mike Evans (rest in peace) was true to game as Lionel since All In The Family.

Mike Evans was a much better Lionel. Damon was a little too gay for my taste. It just didn't seem believable that he could be a Jefferson. Come on, Lionel wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and grew up in the streets. When Damon came in to play the part, Lionel changed from being this former street thug to this prissy goody-too-shoes. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Never cared for Damon either nor his Tiger Woods accent I had a crush on this brotha back when I was young.... Beside, the chemistry between him and Weezy/George was uncanny.

I liked Mike Evans' music the best.
But even though it represented that they were indeed "movin' on up", when the Jeffersons went from an Airplane to a Starship, I felt that the quality of their music suffered .

This is one of those topics that makes me say "Is it really necessary to have an opinion on this question?" I mean REALLY?
I liked the Jeffersons but I'll let another 70s icon answer:

I've always liked the original-Mike Evans. I never cared for the second one. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Mike Evans. The other guy, Damon Evans, COULD have made me stop watching! Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

Mike Evans was the ONLY Lionel.
'The Jefferson's' and 'All in The Family' were two of the greatest sit-coms ever. "He's a musician's musician..."
