I just realized something..."Everybody is a Star," "Hot Fun In The Summertime", and "Thank You for Letting Me Be myself again" are NOT on any of these albums..

Yeah I just figured that out in the car. eek

Yeah, that sucks. But as you guys know, those three songs didn't appear on any of the seven albums included in this set. Those songs originally appeared on the 1970 "Greatest Hits" album.Still,it would have been cool to have them on this set....perhaps they could have added them as bonus tracks?

That's good to know...I wonder if the Greatest Hits will have bonus tracks also? I already have the Essential Sly Stone which has these tracks plus "High On You" so unless the Greatest Hits has some really good extras I won't bother getting it.

But I think you can order from amazon.com, they should ship internationally.

I just looked it up, you could buy one from "importCDs" (new&sealed) through amazon.com. Including shipping for 24 pounds.

Y'know, I was going to ask this of the people who've bought it.

I've just got into Fresh a little and it sounds a little cleaner in the low end but I think it sounds a little different. I'm going to put the ears to it again this weekend and compare.

I've got them all - individually, as I don't think the box is on sale in the UK. Sound quality is superb. Riot's muddiness has been mostly cleaned up and it's far cleaner sounding, but there's a deep darkness in those grooves. Fantastic reissues. I do miss Riot's last reissue liner notes, detailing the conflict between Sly's psychotic pitbull Gun and his pet baboon. And its outcome.

Yes, this has been a longlasting gripe of mine. It would have been great to have the entire output integrated "as recorded". Obviously, they want me to buy GREATEST HITS all over again. neutral

I bought it, but I haven't had a chance to listen yet. For whatever reason, my Best Buy had a least 5 of them on Tuesday. Two were in the box-set section, two were in the CD overflow section, and the fifth was on a table with all of the other new releases.
