Bryan Adams banned from Di's memorial concert

Bryan Adams banned from Di's memorial concert

By ANI
Monday April 23, 05:23 PM
Washington, Apr 23 (ANI): Singer Bryan Adams has been banned from performing at a memorial concert for Princess Diana.

Adams has been declared persona non grata over speculations that he had a romantic link-up with the late princess.

Diana's sons, Princes William and Harry, who are organising the concert have banned the 'Everything I Do' singer, as they wanted to make sure that no tittle-tattle looms over the concert.

However, according to a source, there are no personal reasons as to why the royals don't want Adams to sing.

"The princes have nothing against Bryan Adams... But they want the concert to be free of any innuendo or tittle-tattle. It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear," Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying.

Meanwhile, the Canadian artist's rep confirmed that Adams wouldn't be performing at the musical show.

The concert will take place on July 1, 2007, the day which would have been Diana's 46th birthday.

The concert will be staged at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium. Confirmed acts include Duran Duran, Joss Stone, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, English National Ballet, Pharrell Williams and Bryan Ferry. (ANI)

I heard this concert lost alot of performers like U2,Coldplay and others because of the Live Earth date being so close.

all i remember is that they met at a nightclub and danced like, once.
and he wanted to write a song about her, or perhaps he did write one
for her, not sure.

it wasn't that much of a news item back then since she used to go out
clubbing every now and again and used to meet all the famous folk

shrug
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
