I'm very surprised at my Top 25. I don't think it's very indicative of what I actually listen to since I mostly play my pod but according to my iTunes... here we go...

If you have it set to automatically sync, iTunes will automatically update play count based on what you've recently played on your iPod so it should be a rather close match.

not on mine... under the playlists category... there's music videos, party shuffle, my top rated, recently added and recently played. is there something wrong w/ my iTunes?

Perhaps it got deleted by accident or some such. In any case, you can create your own Smart Playlist in iTunes to track most played songs.

how come whenever i look at my top 25 played it's like, some songs i had on repeat months ago?

it's not a current picture.

No, it's an overall picture. It doesn't limit the time frame on it's own so it keeps track of everything you've played from the beginning. I usually reset the play count on all the tracks at the beginning of the year.

You can also edit the Top 25 list and tell it to track only songs which have been played in the last 30 days (or however long). This won't reset the play count, though. So, if something has 43 plays but falls off the chart, the next time you play it, it will pop back on there with 44 plays.

okay i should have been clear- i don't have the album but all the songs on that album i downloaded and put together. no i don't have the original album (some yes- not all) and I'm getting the Hits/The B-Sides.

which is the best complilation of his work? is Ultimate any good?

There's no substitute for the actual albums. However, The Hits/The B-Sides is the best compilation because of the third disc; b-sides are a huge part of Prince's catalog ("Erotic City," "She's Always in My Hair," "17 Days," etc.). Ultimate is worthwhile for the second disc of 12" versions (another essential part of his catalog), but you'd still be missing a lot of them.

yea... i'm getting the albums i want before I get any of the compilation albums- though I am interested in any compilations of music videos on DVD (ever since the BSB came out with one- i want every artist to have 1). but I only want the compilation b/c their some albums i don't like as a whole- but they have a few tracks i like. but i agree... there's no substitute for the actual albums.

Right click on the smart playlist, choose Edit and from there you can find an option to confine it to a limited number of days, etc...

lol- yea three of my fave artists. I listen to Bocelli every morning because he has an amazing voice and its so soothing. I love it! Its not too soft, and not too loud.

I've been a BSB fan for 10 years... and they are awesome! They are the only band I can put into numerical order of my favorites: NUMBER ONE!!! They are awesome and I highly recommend Never Gone.

And Prince... well, b/c its Prince. Love his music. Listening to it in the middle of the day keeps me awake and singing (not out loud though- but softly so I can hear).

I'm not the kind of oerson that chnages styles of music or fave artits. If I like a group or band I like them for a llooooonnnggg time.
