Attack of the Killer Beys

Am I the only one who feels assaulted by her videos the last few days?
Ten? Ten new videos? That's a bit much. On VH-1Soul, they are playing them all CONSTANTLY. They all seem kinda cheap. I think she tried to do too much at once and none of them came out particularly well.

I think the video were fine, some better than others. I dont see why people are worried that they look cheap, videos should be cheap, especially now in this day and age. Timberlake spent 4 million + on his last video, and who really cared, who really played it and what real revenue did it make? Nothing it did nothing, it was just a waste at this point. Beyonce was much smarter with this, new videos, very inexpensive, same soundstage areas, and then sell the damn dvd on the same day that your cd is out. I mean Prince was the king of shooting a video for everything and 90% of the time used the same sets and stuff adn it didnt break him.

yep they were well done, and at least she has the talent to do it. If she was just medicore and did all that then it would have been a waste

I mean cheap quality wise. I guess a better word would be unimaginative. They all seem to be kinda bland and lacking in any substance or originality. Some are better than others, true. Still, none are particularly memorable, plus they are trying to play them all! All of the time. I don't have a problem with Beyonce; I DO have a problem with too much Beyonce.

well maybe they were cheaply made but I like all her different looks and dancing and all. Reminds me so much of other artists I enjoy so it's a nice tribute, and she has the talent for it too.

Beyonce is America's current "it" girl. I think she's talented and sexy too, but I can only imagine some sort of backlash eventually happening.

Remember like 4 years ago when you couldn't get away from JLo? Now i barely hear about her, and when she does make public appearances it's not the same media hype that it used to be.
Of course this reflects every big star. I just hope Bee will be able to take the fall from grace when that time comes.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a backlash, I already see it happening but I don't care. I'm going to enjoy bee while she's hot cause the girl is on fiyah!

Man, when the goal is saturation and ubiquity, quality is far from a priority. BK is acting like she's afraid of being forgotten.

No, not when they come back with quality and have strong marketing arms behind them.

Beyonce's a commodity. But, these past few years, she's played herself off like an American Idol also-ran.
