wow! another knockout performance from Melinda Doolittle. Not only is she the best thing to happen to American Idol, she may be one of the top singers of her generation. I can't believe how phenomenal this girl is.

For the first time in history i actually watched a few minutes of this show. The doolittle girl will win because its their redemption for passing on Jennifer Hudson, outside of that i really didnt see anything really good. The kid with the hair, it really doesnt matter because he's gotten famous already, so if he loses he already won. The Justin timberlake kid, we already have a JT and thicke so no more of that. That Haley girl seems like this years Katharine Mcphee, great legs, not the vocalist Mcphee is, probably will go, but she is already got a deal offer and modeling offer, so it doesnt really matter who wins really.

All I saw tonight was that Doolittle chick. But from what I remember that Sparks chick is good too.

But I would definitely vote for Sanji just to fuck up the show. Why?

They dissed and dismissed Trenyce, Tanyra Gray, Jennifer Hudson and Elliott Yamin way too early!!!

Also this show has been on for 6 years. There's no excuse for more then half the contestants being sub-par. There should be no Sanji's yet there they all are trying to sing week after week. Please.

I personally wouldnt let this stuff be voted on by America anyway, they should have a bigger panel and do it like a jury would.

She shouldn't have gone home this soon. She deserved another week or 2. I knew Sanjaya wasn't going home so that wasn't an issue. Phil and/or Haley should have been sent packing. They were terrible. I don't know, I don't like the direction this show is going in. Something just isn't right.

From just viewing this show for the first time for the last two nights i can tell where its going already, there honestly isnt a strong talent, which sucks for a TALENT/VOCAL show, its like a middle of the road crew. I think those top 3 girls will be the ones in the final few, like i said yesterday, once people get to the top 12 or whatever they are exposed, and if they are hot looking like Haley or have something nuts like Shanjaya then every minute they are on the show its to their benefit. They all will get deals or videos or modeling contracts or talk shows etc..

but then again, those 3 were going to be the next to go no matter what, so what difference does it make what order it is?

I totally agree with you. I was watching the show thinking to myself how the talent they have aren't as talented as all the other seasons before this one. More people seem to be interested in how Sanjaya is going to wear his hair than how well he's going to sing. Maybe that's where society is today but we should demand more from these people, especially if we're the one who can choose the talent we want.

The gambling websites have been so on!! last week they were so correct!! This week they had gina leaving and they were pretty sure about it!!

I think they have an insider sellin them the results!!

the thing is, until the last couple of weeks, she actually hasn't been that much better than Phil or Haley. in fact, until a few weeks ago, it was Phil who was the leader of those 3. i don't think anyone bases their vote on 1 week's performance, nor should they. it's a cumulative vote, really. plus, we don't know how close it was. they might all 3 have been way down there and the other 2 slipped in there just by a hair.
