How many videos is this chick going to do?!?! I see that Beyonce has done another video. At this point, I don't even care what the name of the song is. Why is she releasing soo many damn videos? I know she's re-releasing "B-Day", but Mariah re-released "The Emancipation of Mimi" and she only put out one video for that. Maybe B-Day didn't produce the numbers that she, her father, and her record label felt that it should have, but does that mean that we have to suffer and watch her shake her extensions over and over again....I think not. Beyonce, please sit down!!! Prince Rogers Nelson

Exactly.
Wish she would go away. I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo, which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos

I thought it was pretty common knowledge by now that she shot a video for every song (or almost every song?) on the album and is putting it out as a video LP "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

It seems as if she's trying to top the 4 million sales of her first album but it may not work and backfire big time...

this bitch has been getting on my nerves ever since she was rocking these extensions

Love her!
Who saw the video where they redid "Sweet Charity" with the DC3 girls? That video just proves that Beyonce has way more fun with DC3 then without. Her best video in a while. And her dancing! Rock it girl. Restraint-NOT!

When I found out about it I thought the same exact thing.
I love Beyonce. I think this girl is very talented, great songs (even though I'm not too impressed with B-Day) but I think that girl has got it. But lately with her, I feel I've been thrown into the Land of the Over-Exposed.

I think this rubbed her the wrong way.

It's a flashier, deeper, just plain better role. She had to know this.

Regardless of the nature of Deena's role. Its funny though, she was the female superstar of the show when it began,,,,,now she's the female co-superstar Still, the whole "Listen" fiasco and the nomination snub seemed like a hard pill to swollow. I wouldn't blame her.

To answer estelle81's question....
Beyonce will do as many videos as she like as long as the cashflow still exist. The videos does bother me at all because I'm not interested is watching most of them on Yahoo Music OR YouTube. As for what? I'm not even a big Beyonce fan.

I don't know. This B-Day project just seems scattered and all over the place. With the exception of Irreplaceable I kind of lost track of the official single releases, now all these videos. I almost forgot that she had an all girl band, then she mentions on CNN yesterday that she has a 20 member all girl band and that they're going on tour soon. I've lost interest for the moment. Maybe when a tour comes around my interest will pickup.

That is too damn much right there...I saw the band or whatever she calls them last month and they were pretty good although she has background singers for no apparent reason since she can do her own backing vocals...

Instead of feeling low because of all the attention that Hollywood gave to Jennifer, Beyonce should be happy that a dark-skinned sista can still get a fair break in the industry despite the light-skinned counterparts (READ: Beyonce herself) hogging the spotlight so much.

Can't blame the girl for using her one real talent: looking good. If I accidentally turn to a video channel, I'll turn the sound down and enjoy. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I was flipping the channels the other day and came across a Beyonce MTV special where they were showing all the videos from her 'B-Day' album while she explained each video It suddenly dawned on me: All of her songs sound alike! Same tempo, same beat, same hip-hop sound. You couldn't even tell one song from the next. That's probably why I like "Listen" (from Dreamgirls) so much....it's the only Beyonce song that dares to take her into another direction!
But having said that...I must admit,"Upgrade U" stays in my head! Please help me...I don't wanna like that song!! Help me,guys!!

I keep hearing this. Releasing of videos. You release a single, as in, something you can buy. The video is a promotional effort, a commercial. I understand that videos outweigh the singles in importance in todays popular culture (kids popular culture, at least), but the video is still a means to an end. You release a single, accompanied by a promotional video. Dvd-singles haven't really proven to be the next big thing. But maybe I'm getting old, and people really do release a video and a single is just something to get off the internet...

She filmed 7 new videos to go along with the re-release of B-Day.... I picked it up yesterday... what a waste of money... The Dvd is actually called a Video Album and it is sold seperately in the US

This is a vanity project, plain and simple.I don't see any other reason why she would do it.I mean, let's be honest...'B-Day' is not exactly some big, important, groundbreaking album. There's no need for a bunch of videos to "explain" the album.Lyrically, the songs aren't saying anything. But Princess Beyonce feels that the public is not tired of her yet and therefore, she must flood the market with her songs and videos. She's also planning to tour this year.I guess the tour will be followed by a "Live" DVD from each city, lol.
