Radio Shows of the 1980s

Does anyone remember either of these shows that came on in the 80s and early 90s. These were like the best radio shows EVER?

Open House Party--Came on Saturday night I believe...host was John Garibedian(?). Prince got much play...I even remember hearing a Glam Slam remix one time. Played the great dance and pop of the day. It was fun and made me feel like I was at a party. And since I was never invited to parties at the time, I needed that.

Future Hits-Before the Internet, people actually listed to songs first ON THE RADIO (pausing for dramatic effect while under 25s grasp the concept). The show was dead on as 80% of the songs they played went on to be huge radio hits. It was just always so cool to hear new product first!

I listened to local radio in the 80s. I remember WBMX 102.7 in Chicago would play house music during the evenings. I recently bought a few Chicago House WBMX cds from Ebay. Great memories.

I remember Bob Wall of WGCI getting fired for playing the unedited version of Erotic City.

I mostly remember the video shows on BET - Video Soul and Video Vibrations.

I remember hearing some Prince songs on the radio for the first time during this program.

House Party was cool too.

Joel Denver...I have been wracking my brain trying to think of that guy's name.

I remember the time that me and my Dad heard "Batdance" on FutureHits and he was like " What the hell was that...that song is not a hit." Shows what my Dad knows about music.
