In fairness to those pop sluts, I have a huge respect for both of them. Madonna isn't the best singer, I doubt you'll find anyone that would actually dispute that but she took control of her product and her carreer in a way that any business man would envy. She played in a man's world and buried their asses face down! Kylie, well you have to admire a chick that can resurrect from the locomotion remake The discussion first began on those 2 broads when one guy told me he was a Kylie fan and held his nose against his friend who is a fan of Vadge. So I began by saying that for me, Body Language had some good songs and some bombs but that "You Make Me Feel" is one of the most amazing songs for me ever. So the Kylie slut began laughing at the Madonnna whore and then I said what a great album Dancefloor is and the Madonna whore started laughing at the Kylie slut Then I asked the Madonna whore how he felt that Madonna made a Kylie album He was like and the Kylie whore was like this I had them 2 bitches up on a roller coaster Dancefloor is the album Kylie has been trying to make. If you listen to Kylie's stuff, she has moments and songs that will rival anything on dancefloor, Madonna happened to make a consistent album is all but one that felt so much like what Kylie had already done. Chaka didn't enter the discussion till later when we started talking about our broader tastes and I said Prince was my favorite ever of all time and that got some whats? and reallys?!. Uh, yeah! I said that Chaka was my favorite female and the disbelief just grew from there. But yeah, they couldn't believe I was actually being truthful . The first time I heard Chaka was "Tell Me Something Good" and I was sold. I loved that song and then when I heard "Once You Get Started", I was a fan for life. The first time I saw Rufus was I think in 1973 (might have been 1974, sorry old and getting my damn years mixed up) at Six Flags in St. Louis. It was hardly anyone there and Chaka looked good. She was sporting a black halter top with black pants and her hair was slicked back in a bun. I do remember the concert and we were sitting right up front. They sounded good too!
I think those that idolize Madge and Kylie think they're talented because when they sing along to their songs on the radio they can sound just as good as they do, that's why they love their songs. Right now we're in mediocrity heaven, LQ | |
