Seal Appreciation Thread!!!!

I woke up this morning and pulled out my DVD copy of "Live In Paris" and was reminded why I dig Seal so much. His voice. His style. He is original in every sense of the word. "Waiting For You" and his covers of "Walk On By" and "Fly Like An Angel" are amazing. Plus, who could forget the obvious radio hit "Kiss From A Rose." However, there is much more to his catalog. Need I remind you of a little song called, "Crazy" from his debut album? Or his more recent tracks "Get It Together," "Love's Divine" and "Touch." Awesome. Can't wait for his next album. I hope it is something close to "Seal IV" in terms of sound.

Love the man

Love his albums but this album..especially.

Seal is dat deal. Don't think he gets the props he deserves. i'd say the 2nd album was his MASTERPIECE. ppl slept on Kiss from a Rose until the batman movie came out. i was like go get your six month late pass! glad he and trevor made up. Human Being missed the mark. He creates mood, texture, great lyricist, voice. i'll always pay attention to Seal

I put "Kiss From A Rose" slightly above Prince's "Adore" on my list of "must hear" ballads. Its brilliant.
Seal's vocals live are of the rare quality of what I call a pure vocalist. He sounds live like he does on his records. Many singers don't.

I do dig Seal.
Funny is I really dig Human Beings (the album) whereas most people do not.
Kinda bummed that his new DVD "One Night to Remember" is not available in the U.S. and if you get an import it's PAL not NTSC so must of us won't be able to play it on our DVD players. neutral
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

he kept them in a contract for seven years...they ended up having to file bankruptcy to get out of it. all of this because none of them were happy with the results of the music they worked on together. the end result is the bootleg "Friendly Fire".

That's why they took so long to release stuff after Eroica?

thats it...and thats why they ended up concentrating on film scores cause it was a way for them to make money. then that took off and they seem happy doing scores.

while their fans weep.

sad

no, u missed my point. until the Batman movie came out, which was six months AFTER Seal's album, is when people started to recognize KFAR as the classic that it is. Joel Schumacher had the album, that's how he discovered it. after the movie, it was everywhere. I was like, about time, yall are late.

I know only his first two albums and they are great.
