Was just curious to know what the Prince fans think of this guy, kinda reminds me of a new Prince!

I liked him, but this Jessica Simpson relationship just brings me down. He must keep her mouth full just so she's not asking stupid questions bout how to work the tv remote.

I like Continuum, there's some decent guitar work on it and the lyrics are good too, but it's a bit on the dull side. I would've liked a bit more rock and roll.

I'm going to the SJ show. C'mon the 45 minutes is not that bad, well it's more like 1.5 to 2 hours in traffic. I need to start planning on the trip so I can hopefully avoid a CPT situation. I like him, i really didn't get into him of recent when Continuum came out. I like d it a lot. and was very impressed. I'm going to his show in Hartford, which is homecoming show if you will, so it should be pretty good.

He reminds me of songwriters from days gone by. His song Daughters is just brilliant. So simple, and to the point.

He's got that musician stuck in a Pop star's body marketing dichotomy happening.

i liked a couple of his songs but didn't pay too much attention past a friend called said he had an extra ticket and asked if i wanted to go to see him live (along with Sheryl Crow). needless to say... one of the best live performers i've ever seen. i do see where people compare him to Prince as far as guitar playing goes. there were a couple moments were i thought the same thing. the boy is baaaaad!!!!! fan for life!!

All good points. He reminds me of P but without being over the top. Over the top works for P it does not work for all artist. John is like P without the extras. Check out some of John's live performances on YouTube. He really puts on a good show.

That's where I leap to John's side - I can't STAND "3121", but "I Don't Trust Myself" is awesome & far superior I can see where you see a similarity in the beat though...

Good points dude, a bit of a reach but I do dig John as a musician
