A very warm song. Stephanie Mills conveyed a lot of joy in singing this one, which was arguably Mills' biggest hit ("I Feel Good All Over" was No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart for three weeks).
NOTE: The song was originally written by Annette and Gabriel Hardeman for Patti LaBelle. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I love this song! I have often thought that this would be a great song for the first dance at a wedding reception. Yeah, I know, typical woman, but us ladies think of these things. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I love this song. The album "If I Were Your Woman" is my favorite Stephanie album. Every track is great. Listening to it now, it does seem a little dated...especially lyrically, but the album still sounds great.

Good song. It's even better when she performs it live. The girl has PIPES!

Hated it. She should have stuck to jams like "Pilot Error". Andy is a four letter word.

"Pilot error" is one of her best. "Keep away girls" is another gem...

My favorite song on "If I Were Your Woman" was the Paul Laurence-written and -produced "(You're Putting) a Rush on Me." Just a killer groove that subtly reminded me of The System's "You Are in My System." Just a killer groove that subtly reminded me of The System's "You Are in My System." I can deal with "Putting A Rush On Me". That's one of her better ones.....for the late 80s of course. Andy is a four letter word.

(after 1980's 'Sweet Sensation') I love that song. My favorites from her are: Sweet Sensation Put Your Body In It Never Knew Love Like This Before Pilot Error I didn't care for too much other stuff from her. Andy is a four letter word.
