MADONNA's plans for her 25th anniversary!!!

Madonna plans to celebrate 25 years of her showbiz career with a massive party and a special multimedia release.
In an interview with the International Herald Tribune, the 48-year-old star spoke about her plans, saying, 'I'm thinking about doing a 25-year retrospective — multimedia, with video and photographs of me by Mario Testino, Herb Ritts, Steven Klein and Steven Meisel.'
The singer also mentioned that she would love to throw a party for all of her friends that would, "celebrate all the designers", such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix, who have created famous and groundbreaking designs for Madonna over the years.

Got this from MadonnaTribe.com

MadonnaTribe is happy to inform its readers that word is just out that Mrs Ritchie will be releasing a big "Best Of" package later this year.

At the moment Warner Music is planning to release a complete "Best Of" Madonna collection in October 2007 to celebrate the Queen of Pop's 25 year career.
We have received matching info from our own sources, but we're reporting about this now because reputable UK industry paper Music Week also mentioned the release of a "Best Of" Box Set made of 3 audio CDs and 2 DVDs a few days ago.

I don't really need a box set. Like a Prayer remastered with bonus tracks would be nice, though.

Now that you mention it, I'm all for the boxed set if it collects all of those songs neglected up until now, like the Who's That Girl? singles and "Gambler."

There's definitely room for a box set from M, but not if its half arsed like most of her other retrospective stuff of late. She's got a lot of material, b-sides, non album tracks, remixes, unreleased sonds, demos etc. that would be really nice to have collected into a box set - however there's the need to be commercial or completist about it too, and so its a question of where do you draw the line between including all her hits and commercial stuff, and including tracks that the fans really want for collection purposes.

If your talking of collecting both hits and rareities together, it'd be like a 5-6 disc box set. 3 discs wont even fit on all of her singles - so itll be really interesting to see which approach she takes.

I personally dont think we'll get lots of goodies such as demos and loads of unreleased tracks - mainly because she has high quality control standards. most of that stuff will come out when shes dead IMO, but i still like the idea of a proper restrospective incorporating singles, remixes, live tracks, underappreciated album tracks, a few unreleased songs - something that gives a bigger picture of her music for fans not in the know, and also satisfies the hardcore people.

the 2 goddamn dvds better be disc 1) Blond Ambition and disc 2) unedited, rarely aired music videos (Justify My Love, Erotica, AL, True Blue, WIFLFAG, Everybody).

far as the audio cd's, lord knows what will make the cut if she has anything to do with it. probably an eight minute extended remix of Paradise (not for me), a dance remix of Xstatic Process, Love Don't Live Here Anymore 2007, Jimmy Jimmy 12" and the Lament live from RIT.

Lament was release on "I'm Gonna tell you a secret"

She's Still Got It

Her Madgesty's new "M by Madonna" clothing line for H&M has sold more than $15 million since going on sale just over a week ago.

The debut has been so successful that the retail chain have just offered Lady M a multi-million dollar deal to do a second and third collection for the chain, beginning in late 2007.

This year has been quite lucrative for Madonna.

In addition to the $8 million she collected from H&M,the Queen of Pop was also paid $15 million for her recent Japanese commercial.

Madge has spent the last three weeks in a recording studio and has promised her label a new album by November!

Actually the commercial they're referring to isn't in relation to the h&m campaigne.
