It was definitely aimed at more of a pop/rock market. If anything, Destiny (from a rock/pop perspective) and Echos of an Era/Classikhan (from a jazz perspective) show how diverse Chaka really was and still is.

P.S.-- Lisa Fischer is one criminally underated r&b singer. Sad that she only released "So Intense" -- great album. She should have been a bigger star.

I feel you, in a sense that Chaka can switch from style to style.

But "Destiny" seemed kinda calculated from WB's part. I guess they wanted to have another "I feel for you" by repeating the same formula and the result is Chaka being crowded by an over-produced fluff, at least IMO.

I liked the DESTINY album. Now "CK" was some crap but I liked DESTINY. Dont flog me but I even like "Earth To Mickey." I dont take that song seriously, but its a fun song..lol

BTW Harpelois, they removed the video of TIGHT TO FIT.
