Nice! I was just listening to the self-titled U.K. album this morning. Holdsworth has to be one of the most criminally underated guitarists ever. His sound is unlike anyone I've ever heard -- so fluid. I'll have to find a copy of this DVD, cause I know I'll never get to see him live. Brilliant guitarist! Love his work with U.K., Bruford, Jean-Luc Ponty and Level 42 (to name just a few).

Kool!! He was there for the filming?

I wish I had caught that show, but I'll make do with the Dvd, I guess, lol ....

He's a monster guitarist! He may be underrated with the general public but not in the guitar community. I'll have to check this out. nod

After my experience with that same show at Catalina's in L.A. and Jimmy Haslip mentioning to me that they were doing a DVD recording at Yoshi's, I had to do my best to get you to go. smile

I was pretty sure you'd enjoy the music at that great venue.

More Holdsworth news.

He's involved to some degree with a group called SOMA...

...and their upcoming release, THE NONBELIEVER'S COMEUPPANCE.

Tony Levin - bass
Guy Eckstine (Mr.B's son) - drums
Mark Gleed - keys
David Shawn Waldroop - guitar

Prog-Fusion vibe.

Speaking about getting it into gear, do you guys think I should go see Roy Hargrove tonight? I can catch the last set of a five night stand at Yoshi's for $18. I don't know his music that well. I've heard a few cuts but that's about it. Is this a no brainer?

Roy Hargove - trumpet
Gerald Clayton - Piano
Justin Robinson - Alto Sax/Flute
Danton Boller - Bass
Montez Coleman - Drums
