A Different Drum -- Peter Gabriel

...so uplifting! cloud9

No song captures the joy of salvation like "A Different Drum." I consider the whole Passion album to be spirit music, my generation's answer to A Love Supreme.

Cyndi Lauper / The Goonies 'R' Good Enough (1985)

The 1st time I heard that song was in a midi format lol through an atari video game version of The Goonies.

The synth intro used to scare me when I was a kid boxed lol

The memories touched

lol I used to play The Goonies II on old school 8-Bit Nintendo with the gray controllers that hurt your hands.

Definitely nod And the video is a guilty pleasure of mine. Did The Bangles appear in it, or is it just my imagination?

I've seen the video only once. I mostly remember the song from it being on the end of film credits. I intentionally recorded it off cable with a VHS tape and used to blast the song on my TV speakers. lol

It's easily the best song to ever come out of the whole boy-band craze. nod If I had to pick a group, I'd go with *NSYNC, but you can't beat "I Want It That Way."

well, i'm not an N'sync fan- but thanks for the compliment. i think the media and the industry created this "boy band feud" for nothing. I've converted many an n'sync fan to the BSB however. wink

I wonder how BSB's new album is going to be without Kevin. Sure, he never really sang lead on anything, but he was the big brother. nod

even if he never sang lead on released songs, he sang back-up, co-wrote songs, adn played piano for several songs. The new album is said to be very good and is coming out in a few months- with a single prolly coming out in May.
