YES, he is good, but I will never forgive him for absolutely raping Harold Faltermeyer's AXEL F theme and the whole score of Beverly Hills cop 3.

He was responsible for that monstrosity of a movie score and he deserves to be shot for making that !

It was an insult to any film composer, let alone harold faltermeyer!

Disgraceful! mad

I know Diana Ross ordered that the album should be remixed, because her voice wasn't feature up front as she wanted in the mix.

I still haven't listened to the chick mix of "diana"

You are missing out. Chic version is phenom. I think it's dirtier and less reverb in vocals, also there are a couple of vocal distortion/clipping issues that are obvious when you listen side by side. Diana was pulled back in mix and background (especially male) vocals pushed forward.

I like both. with pref going to Chic mix.

I have never seen him play a solo live.

I watched a 2004 show with Omar Hakim on drums and I was amazed by how good they sounded, however he had several chances to solo and did more of a rhythm funk chicken stratch thing. Which IMO is just as impressive.
Music is the best...

Savior Faire is my Favorite Chic piece, I love Nile's Playing on that! BTw, did you ever hear his guitar solo on Al Jarreau's song, "Golden Girl"? (from Al Jarreau's "L is For Lover" album)--That's another one of my favorites!!
