Jimmie Dale Gilmore? Seriously? I'm shocked anyone even knows who he is. I helped engineer his Braver Newer World record from 1996. What record of his is in your playlist?

Wow, I think that is just terrifically neat! I'm a big, big fan of Jimmie Dale, both as a writer and a performer. The album I played was 'Spinning Around The Sun' (from '93 if I remember correctly), but I really like Braver Newer World as well.

It was a fun project and he is an incredibly sweet guy. I never listened to his earlier material but I understood that at the time, Braver Newer World was somewhat of a 'departure' for him. T-Bone worked his magic on that one.

Yes, it's his second album, Neither Fish Nor Flesh.
