The Bee Gees' remastered 'Main Course' CD---is it out of print?

So,I finally get around to buying some of the Bee Gees remasters that came out last year.I found 'Children Of The World' and 'Spirits Having Flown' but I can't seem to find 'Main Course'! I went to several record stores last week but couldn't find it.At Amazon and CDUniverse,it's only available as an import.I coulda sworn I saw this CD in stores last year.It was remastered and released along with the other two CDs....or am I just imagining this?! Why is this Cd harder to obtain than the other two?

mad

mad Are they ever gonna remaster these CDs?!

They're remastering their whole catalogue including the famous soundtrack but they're doing chronologically in batches of 3

This first batch is excellent "The quintet's smile albums Bee Gees 1st, Horizontal, and Idea have been brilliantly revitalized, with remastered CDs of stereo and mono mixes of each title paired with second discs of rare and unreleased recordings from the period—the first time The Bee Gees have opened their vaults for extensive archival exploration"

hmmm looks interesting but I gotta admit,I'm mostly interested in their mid 70s R&B/disco phase.I want remastered copies of 'Main Course','Children Of The World' (their best album, imo) and 'Spirits Having Flown'.And if they're really gonna remaster 'Saturday Night Fever',that's cool, but wasn't it already remastered in the mid-90s?

Is there some kind of schedule for the remasters? I reckon it will take awhile before they get to the 70s albums?

What's great about this album is,the non-singles are just as good as the singles.I like "Tragedy" but I'm not in love with it."I'm Satisfied" is a top-notch song.

I don't think so
I check the rhino webpage now and then but there are no schedule news at the moment.

I'm also more interested in their post 1975 period but I mean to buy them all. The early 70's is their worst period IMO

I'm satisfied cloud9

I fucking hope so. lol I think Rhino are still planning to release them chronologically so it may be a year or so away yet. confused

There's supposed to be a 2 disc set of Saturday Night Fever being released around its 30th anniversary with the full 8 minute version of Stayin' Alive on it. drool

But again, it's only what I've heard, hence my unreliability. razz

Are you serious?!! Wow,that's gonna be cool lol Keep me up-to-date on the release date.

I wonder what other bonus tracks they could use? At an early stage, the song "Stayin Alive" was titled "Saturday Night"...I wonder if we will get to hear the demo of that? Before they got involved with the film, they were simply recording songs for their follow-up to 'Children Of The World'.

Here are some bonus tracks that they could use for the remaster:

***"If I Can't Have You" (Bee Gees version)---it's likely that the filmmakers were gonna use the Bee Gees version in the movie, but changed their mind and decided it needed to be recorded by a woman, since it's basically Annette's theme song in the film, lol.I prefer Yvonne Elliman's version.

***"Emotion" by Samantha Sang---I've always heard that this song was recorded for the film, but the filmmakers couldn't find a place for it.

and of course, there are a handful of songs that were in the movie but didn't appear on the soundtrack (Rick Dee's "Disco Duck",for example).

Where are you getting this info from? Is it from an official site,or is this just a bunch of fan rumors/wishful thinking? lol

Yes,Saturday Night Fever was released in December 1977.So this year will mark it's 30th anniversary.
